Sa-ke To Me: Cocktails and Co.
Every wanted to take a trip overseas; Maybe to a tropical island, maybe to Greece, or better yet how about Asia.
Well, that's exactly the experience you will get when you go to Co. Restaurant right here in the Queen City. I have been following this restaurant on my Instagram account for months now and made it a point to add this place to my new restaurants to try in 2018. I first fell in love with the pictures of the decor and most importantly the food. I did some prior research on the reviews and everything I read was four stars and higher. Being totally impressed I gathered my appetite and hit the road to give Co. a try. I decided to go in for happy hour as I deserved a much needed cocktail and the happy hour menu allowed me to go for gold and try different menu items tapas style.
Entering in the restaurant I was in awe over the decor and the abstract design of the bar. The mellow lightning and the ambience of the music definitely made me feel like I was back home in a trendy restaurant on South Beach. Being seating I was greeted by the most amazing waitress I have ever met. She was originally from Thailand and moved from California to Charlotte, from the beginning we both had something in common; both of us moved from major cities and decided to give the Queen City a try how neat is that. She was so pleasant, had a contagious smile, and explained everything on the menu precisely. I couldn't have asked for a better server she sets the tone for Co. To continue, I ordered four different menu items and a cocktail, btw YES I'm a slim girl but hey a girls gotta eat right LOL. However, I did have help from a friend of mine to help me devour some of this food, nothing like spreading the love of extra calories LOL.
Lets Get To The Good Stuff
I ordered the following items off the happy hour menu and cocktail menu as well:
- Malaysian Chili Wings
- Spicy Crab Rangoon (the Bomb.com)
- Curry Shrimp
- California Roll
- Pomegranate Rum Punch
Each and every dish had me licking my fingers especially the Spicy Crab Rangoon (my absolute favorite) recommended by my waitress. The Malaysian chili wings were so tender they were practically falling off the bone, and the curry shrimp gave my taste buds a spicy karate chop, bursting with different flavors I never had before. Throughout my dining experience I consistently received the most exceptional customer service from not only my server but also from the management staff which was very impressive but honorable. As a customer this gives me the impression that not only Co. takes pride in their food but also their customer enjoyability experience.
I so enjoyed my time dining at Co. indulging in great eats and meeting cool peeps; theres nothing like trying something new and finding out that you love it. I have added this spot to my favorites list and will be going there very often from now on to fit my asian persuasion personality LOL. I know for sure once the weather gets warmer this is the place to be for trendy creatives like myself. So if you don't have any plans this weekend be sure to go check out Co. Charlotte (Park Road location) and let them know GabsTheFab sent you.
Cheers To The Weekend!
